Root Google Now on the triumph ?

Couldn't get this working on mtdev cm9. I was a little lazy/anxious about flashing it though...I only cleared dalvik. My search bar is gone now but if that's the worst thing then I'm pretty lucky.

Yeah jarjar sent me some instructions. The plan is to include this in the next build of cm9 if all goes well.

can u have beats audio working, from the google play app. sometimes it doesnt stick. i think dsp is interrupting it. n i will use ur rom

I had Google Now working (full offline version too) on the MTDEV 8/20 release, but that one was only 105MB.

No special procedures, just flashed the ROM, GAPPS, then the mikeyxda_v7_Offline.zip file.

Didn't work on 9/4 or 9/9 though. Maybe size related, since these two are 121MB and 115MB respectively?

Well I dont know what specific problem you guys have with Google Now. Like is it the whole apk not being useable or is it the actual Google Now option that you turn ON in the settings of the apk? because I have the apk working in MTDEV's most recent CM9 build but I had to delete some system apps and most ringtones to get enough space. Once I did that I flashed it and it worked perfectly. I ran voice search tests and its freaking awesome. HOWEVER, when I actually turn on Google Now, I get no fcs, it just does nothing and stays at a white blank screen until I back out. Other than that little issue, everything works fine.

i posted this on the cm9 thread on getting google now....plz read through the thread plz :)
Plz provide a link

Edit: Nvm, I got google now running! online version only because i ran out of cache space on phone, also managed to install gapps and everything that was working seems to be working GREAT!

First do a complete system/factory wipe, install cm9 zip, then Google Now (online) zip. Reboot and then go back into cwm and install gapps latest version, reboot again and you should be good to go :)

Also this is running on the latest MTDEV 9/9 release
