Google Now vs Siri iOS 7

I feel like I should be posting this in the beta/development section, but I AM actually talking about the final release here.

Anyway, there is no other way to put this, so I'll just go ahead and say it.... The all new and improved Siri doesn't know who the current leader of my country is! lol. No, I'm not kidding....

I would probably understand if I lived in some tiny island in the South Pacific, but my country is in the G20... I mean, really??

In any case, I can't say that I'm too impressed with the new Siri. What to do you guys think of it?

From what I can gather Siri is very good as long as you're in the US. Haven't heard anything good about it from anyone not in America.

I remember playing with it on a friends' phone when it first came out and pretty much every answer was either a page of search results (like you'd get from any search engine), saying it couldn't connect to the internet or was just plain wrong.

I assume from that the leader of your country isn't Barack Obama then? Siri might have got that.

I believe it works best in the US. I haven't got an iPhone handy at the moment, see if it knows who the leader of China is. :D

I played with it in a shop and it was even worse at understanding my (fairly strong) accent than google is so i cant really comment on its search accuracy :D

Can you imagine if it couldn't find out the president of one of the largest countries in the world and the highest population? lol.

I asked Siri and it did come up with Xi Jinping, which is correct (thank God! ) It did also come up with a big chart full of extra info about Xi Jinping, which was nice. Unfortunately it was still slow as hell to actually get the result.

I think the only reason it doesn't know the leader of Australia is because he was just recently elected. But I asked Google Now the same question just a few days after the election and it was already up to date on the new leader.... two weeks later, Siri still doesn't know. lol.

Talking about accuracy, my accent probably isn't as radical as your Scottish accent, but you have to see some of the dumb $hit it was saying in its responses! Some of the responses are just so off the mark and so random that it's actually quite hilarious. lol.

Maybe I'll do another video showing a full-on comparison with Google Now, and maybe another one just showing all the hilarious crap that it says. :D
