any idea where they are stored?

i have a photo imaging app that only seems to access gallery. i can't figure out how to have it access "photos", so i guess i'd like to copy my google+ photos over to DCIM.

tangentially, will i need a root explorer? don't have such an app, because i tend to delete things that cripple my device.:D i do use es file explorer, but i'm simply not seeing google+, so i'm guessing it's hidden in system somewhere, and i don't know how to have them shown.

I think (?) they aren't stored locally, they're online but there are little thumbnails of them stored on the device, not sure where they're stored though.
Best way to view the pics I think is with the g+ app or the Photos app if you have it.
I'm not 100% about this lol, its just what I've gathered

Try following this path uploadfromtaptalk1398954325740.jpg
I have a lot of folders in there called Picasa0, Picasa1, etc with lots of tiny files in it. Not sure if Picasa and g+ are a separate entity or what..

hey funk, thanks for the reply. just off what you provided i was able to learn something.

i turned off wifi, cleared cache, and then launched photos. the thumbnails are there, but the underlying pics are not. so it seems you are right, that the photos are stored in the cloud. still have no idea where the thumbnails are stored.

i wonder if there is a way to store on device, sort of how on google play books, where the books are stored in the cloud, where you can download and store on the device.

but that would open a similar can of worms. because i can't find where google play books stores the books either.:)

yeah, pinning i guess is the correct term. i pin my books all the time, but damn if i can find them with my file manager.

i can always share them to drive or gmail, and then download, but it would seem to me such an obvious feature.
