Google Play, Google Now, Wifi, etc.

Hi there,

For awhile I haven't been able to update or download any apps in the Google Play Store without being on wifi. I have looked and it's not set for "only download on wifi". Now I've been realizing that I can't download anything (pictures, word documents, etc) via web or emails unless I'm on wifi.

Another thing; I updated to Jellybean when it came out for my phone, and Google Now used to work. Now when I hold the home button and tap to open Google Now, it just goes back to the home screen. I also have a Google search widget that has stopped working as well. Also when I'm in the text area and I hold down the settings button that pops up settings, drawing to text, and clipboard, my voice to text option isn't even there. When I go into the keyboard settings, my Google keyboard has completely disappeared ( I remember it being there before).

Now I've been noticing that sometimes I don't get any notifications for any apps until I turn on wifi. This is extremely annoying as I don't typically turn on wifi unless I'm updating my apps.

Please any help will be very much appreciated! I was okay with updating apps via wifi only but now things keep getting worse and it's getting super annoying. I really don't want to factory reset as I don't have the time or energy to re-download everything....

Welcome to the forum.

As your problems have occurred since you updated to JB, I think you will have no option but to do a factory reset.

But wait to see if anyone else has any other ideas 1st

The Google Play Store was happening prior to updating to Jellybean - it started happening a couple weeks after getting my phone but I thought it was just a setting somewhere until similar things started occurring without me changing anything.

I hope someone can help me as I know if I go to my carrier all they will do in the store is take my phone, send it in, and I wont know anything for a couple weeks because all the in-store people care about is commission sales and I'd just be taking up their precious time.
