Google Play Music Shortcut

I'm not sure if anyone else picked up on this but if your music is playing all you have to do is hold the play button from the lockscreen and a scrubber will come up for you to either fast forward or rewind to wherever you want in the song. Holding the forward and reverse buttons will bring up the scrubber as well

Don't know waht I'm doing wrong but I can't get that to work

I use the regular player in the small widget - could that be the issue?

You need to be on KitKat

The upgrade finally came through last night .. and I couldn't resist installing it. The lockscreen trick now works

I found the same... Will try it out when I get out of work

I'm on kitkat but I don't get the controls showing up on my lock screen? Any ideas why?
