Help Google Play Pop Up Ad

I had the same problem- everytime I logged in to my phone an ad popped up, all about apps in the Play Store. After literally hours of browsing the internet, including this post, I finally gave up and started looking around in the Play Store. None of the anti-viruses worked until I download Malwarebytes. I scanned for a minute and it popped up!

Somehow, it had set itself as an administrator or whatever, but that was easily solved. Slide the switch, then go back to the app. I deleted it- now there's no more ads!

I had the same problem and tried everything! I finally absent-mindedly mentioned it to a woman from Sprint. She gave me the ANSWER! It was my free music download app! I deleted it and the pop-ups immediately stopped. Just to make sure, I reinstalled the app and they started all over again! I just found one called MP3 Music that has a multi-colored, round icon with a double music note inside of it...it has not caused these issues like the last app. I'll post a pic.

Hi, Same problem. Could you tell me if the music player that caused your problem was pre-installed on the phone when you got it? I have a possible culprit but it came with the phone. Thanks.

I've just had the same problem on my note 4. While the add was still on the screen I pressed the button that shows all my last pages/apps viewed. This showed that the app forcing the pop up adds (icon on top left of the add page) was my pdf viewer app, uninstalled the app & no problems since.

Ive searched around for my specific issue and can't seem to find anything about it. This is the type of pop-up ad I'm seeing.

Samsung GS5 airpush crashes on me 2/3rds of the way through each scan, weird
I had this issue too but it seems to be gone after adjusting browser settings

I searched for weeks, tried several different things short of resetting to factory settings ugh
I finally downloaded Kaspersky and ran 2 different scans. Problem solved! Haven't had any issues!
A lot easier than some of the others I've seen!
Good luck!

Thanks. Mine seemed to repair itself after a month or so but will remember your recommendation in case it happens again.

I recently made the switch from an iPhone to an LG G3. I love it until recently. I've noticed that full screen pop-up ads appear randomly even if I'm not using any apps. Even if I'm just sitting staring at the home screen. The pop-up ads appears to be Google Play "Recommended for you" ads. I've scoured the Internet trying to find anyone else having this problem. I've found only a few posts but zero solutions or explanations. If you click the ad it does in fact take you to Google Play app store. I've installed Lookout security and scanned my phone and found nothing - no malware nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? If this really is coming from Google Play then I'm furious. With what we pay for phones and apps it's insanity they can freely spam my phone. If it's not them can anyone tell me what's up? And how to stop the insanity? Thanks so much!
So if your on the new o.s. you just need to go to apps, select Google Play then click no peeking.
