Google Play Store payment won't process payment

Hi guys,

Trying to troubleshoot an issue on a friend's Galaxy Tab with the Google Play store. When I try to download a track or an album, it comes up with the message "Please tap "Continue" to add a payment method and complete your purchase". I tap continue and it takes me to the payment options screen, where I have added a credit card. I tap on the credit card to select it, it thinks about it for a second, and then I'm back on the "Please tap "Continue" to add a payment method and complete your purchase" page. No matter how many times I go through this, it just keep cycling through these two pages and won't actually buy and download the song. Has anyone seen this before, or have any idea what to do about it? I tried downloading a free app and had no issues, so I guess the issue is in the payment, not the download.

This is my first foray into the world of Android, so please don't use too many big words ;)

Thanks!

Make absolutely certain that you (or he) didn't typo the expiration date of the card. (If it's expired, it can't be selected.) Other than that, look on Google for support (I can't find any regarding payment that doesn't lead to another page - no human help), but I did leave a comment, and I was logged in, so maybe they'll contact me. If they do, I'll post an answer - probably in the lounge.

Try adding a payment method from a PC, either go to play.google.com and try buying the content from there or wallet.google.com

Thanks for joining our forums and we hope that we can help :)
