Help google play store will not load on my galaxy s3...

Hi, i cant access my google play store to download/install any new apps.
Everytime i press the google play store icon, it briefly brings the loading page up, then disappears. (When i say briefly, i mean like 1second.)
Just wondering if anyone could help me out?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi floppy87 and welcome.

Try clearing the cache and data on the Google Play app. That should fix the issue.

Ah brilliant I've sorted it out and works now

This is what I done and followed just in case others are figuring how to do it.

1) Visit Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications
Tab over to All.

2) Select the Google Play store app, and then tap Clear data and Clear cache.

3) Then, select Download manager and tap Clear data and Clear cache.

4) You must be able to successfully sign into Google Talk to download Android apps on Google Play. Make sure your device is signed into Google Talk by following these steps:

5) Go to your device's app launcher, and press the Talk app.

6) If you’re already signed into Talk, press Menu, and then touch Sign out.

7) Launch Talk again to sign in.
