Root Google Play update?

I've noticed quite a few people with their Android Market upgraded to Google Play. I haven't received an update notification yet, will I need to download the update manually?

You can simply clear data on the market then open it up. It will have you accept a new agreement. Then it will be google play. You may have to restart phone after clearing data. I can't remember if I had to reboot or not.

I accepted the agreement, but it doesn't look like anything (icon, UI, name, etc.) changed. What is supposed to change when it updates?

Mine did that too, except the UI definitely changed. The UI was new(but only subtly), but it still said Market when I opened it instead of Google Play. Did you try rebooting phone? You may have to do the whole thing twice(clear data, open, reboot, clear data, open) I think that's what I did.

Awfully strange on my TB...It made my market icon disappear ...had to reboot the phone then search for the App in the App drawer ..not cool

Just looks like a new Icon and new name to me. The old Market icon will not open anything, I just threw it in the trash and use the new icon.

I still don't have the updated icon/name; but the market does look different.
