Help Google Search App not working

Escadia

Lurker
My wife's Galaxy S4 Google search function has suddenly stopped working. The Internet works just fine, all the other apps such as Google+ and the play store are all working just fine. I checked all of her settings, searched the net, and I just can't find what messing it up. I just had to do a factory reset on my S4 due to freezing issues and I would like to avoid doing it on her phone due to the fact she has a lot more pictures of the kids than I do.

Try going to app manager.......clear cache. ......clear data.......Un install updates or turn off......then power off or do battery pull.......then back on......and enter the app.

Glad to hear.
Sometimes apps just get glitchy, and even the phones do to.

Just for future reference the factory reset should be your last option to do. Because it's a lot of work setting everything back up.

First thing when something isn't working right. ...... Turn the phone on and while the home screen is up pop the battery out then hold power button for 10 seconds, put battery, in and start up and test the app.

If that doesn't work to fix the issue then go to app manager on the phone and uninstall or clear data on the app, uninstall app, reinstall app, then do the battery thing, and then start phone back up, and test the app.

If those don't work then do the factory reset.
