Help Google Search disappeared/not functioning

[mred689]

My Google Search bar disappeared and the "search" button on the lower right hand corner only does not function anymore. When I went to look for Google Search in my Apps it is there, but appears in a gray color, while the rest are in white.

What happened to Google Search?

How can I get it back?

Thanks!

This phone is getting a reputation for dropping system apps.
Try this. Otherwise a factory reset is the only way to get it back.
