Help Google search field thinks its a password!

Newbie
For some reason today, when I type into the Google search (mobile version) textfield, it acts like a password or credit card field i.e. I can't see what I'm typing!
Very odd. It doesn't do it in the desktop mode.

I've tried rebooting, restarting chrome, clearing chrome cache, clearing data and clearing Google search cache. Nothing worked.

Any ideas what's going on?

If I type something in the Google search field, then take the focus out of the Google field, then back in again, everything returns to normal and I can see what I'm typing again. Obviously this would be a right pain to do every time. How strange!

I know it's no help, but my Desire has just started doing the same thing. Doesn't seem to matter how I get to Google, or which Google site I use. Doesn't happen with Bing!

Mine has just started doing the same thing. Glad I'm not alone!

How strange!
It must be something at Google's end then? I wonder if its affecting or Android phones or the iphone?
Is there a way we can notify Google?

I've got the same problem. I think it comes from the Flash reader program, it seems to me that it occurs after I browsed a web page with some particular Flash content (with ActionScript 3 probably).
