Help Google Search widget freezing phone

Anybody having a freezing issue with the Google search widget freezing? When i try a search it lets my type in a few letters, then it just freezes.

I'm using OTA 2.2

Had this issue before actually... couldn't figure out why it was happening... hasn't happened since I cleared the data for Google search and re-added the widget to my desktop... tho at the same time I cleared my browser cache so it could of been either or... hope this helps

I have this same issue, even now on 2.2.1 Droid X. WTF? Why do I barely hear about this when it happens to me every time I try to type in the search box for this. And when I use actual Swype typing to do it, it freezes 100% every time. Ridiculous.

I had the problem as well. Make sure the app is updated, or uninstall and reinstall(can't remember if I uninstalled or even were able to). Definately delete it from your home screen and put it back on. That worked for me.
