We're all thinking it, how do we get the backflip to search Google instead of Yahoo? I read a news brief saying we could switch but I suspect it's wrong. I know I can get a widget or something plainly enough, but is there a means of making that search button do what I want to do and allow me to use the Google engine?
 
As of right now you cant. Only options are if someone finds out how to root the phone or if they give us the option in 2.1.
 
I figured that may be the case, but thought I'd ask. I would complain but I know how futile that would be, but in fairness outside of this and the locked apps; the phone is pretty fantastic! I bought it because I was tired of the android experience without 3g. I traded a completely opened phone for a locked phone with much faster connectivity- I think I have to say I made the right call.
 
I total agree. I love the phone. I can wait until 2.1 comes out b4 I decide if I'm going to buy a new phone or not
 
Im not sure if Google Voice searches in Google or Yahoo.. I'm guessing Google. I will re download the app to see.. I removed it due to force stop error constantly.
