Google services using all of my data in two days

So over the past two days, Google services has used 2.3 gb... Has anyone had this problem, I can't figure out for the life of me why it's doing this. It has eaten my 2.5gb limit in just those two days..

I feel your pain, believe me, which is why I chose a truly-unlimited data plan. Of course, your data usage is dependent on what apps you have running.

If one touches "Google services" in the data usage screen, one can see what foreground/background data amounts are displayed, and "Restrict background data" may be useful to you, but I don't see how to detail the data usage any more granular.

It is not just you. Mine has used 1.8 GBs in two days on my 2.5 GB plan and have no idea what caused this. It is also on the 4th day of the month so I have to go all month without using data. Are you using any custom ROMs or anything?

Yikes! I've not seen any spike in data use with my upgraded to 4.3. Google Services, or anything like that, doesn't even appear in my top 10.

Not having to worry about data is one reason why I went with an MVNO who offers unlimited data. Of course, I use wifi all the time, so barely break 500mb... I just like not having to worry about such things.

I'm having similar issues. I noticed a spike last night so I turned off background data for a bit. I've turned it on again and I've burned through 200MB in 2 hours!

Go to Settings, and look at accounts, and select your Google account. You should get to a screen that looks like the attached photo.

If you don't use a product, uncheck it. Some of these things will kill your battery and your data consumption. I was having the Google Services battery drain issue about 2 weeks ago, but I haven't had it use a ton of data yet.

Haven't seen anything like this, but then about the only thing I allow background syncing for is Gmail. I would suspect Currents and G+ would be likely suspects. I don't know if Google Music streaming is included in Google services numbers.

Google Music has it's own entry, that's restricted over 3G too. I found a while back, that even if you're only listening to play lists you've stored on the device, that takes up a load of allowance too.

Not sure about the OP, but I only sync contacts, gmail & app data anyway and I don't have G+ or currents installed (custom ROM).

Very odd and annoying.
