Is that a feature of Android 2.x? On a Galaxy?
 
Yep, no Voice Search in the Market on IK5 either. Although I remember it was available sometime in October-November... Maybe Google made it 1.6+ only.

Some advertisement will never be bad for the Galaxy... Although while in my subjective opinion it looks better than the other two devices, I still envy their screens and OS versions...

I wouldn't call Samsung a major manufacturer of Android phones... So far it's a disgrace.

Oh, sorry, you meant just a "major manufacturer", without "of Android phones". But nonetheless )))
 
Software wise it's a disgrace, but hardware wise it's a pretty damn good phone if you ask me. Build quality, AMOLED screen, good camera etc etc. No arguing about Samsungs bad support is a big downside but there are bright sides to the phone too. :)
 
I'm on Ik4... no voice search available. I would love to have this function.. I used to have it until I flashed from my original fw ver. Unluckily I have not been able to find and re-install it.
 
i have to edit your post Informale the reason i didnt link it the way you did is because its a google app and i dont want to have AF responsible for distributing it against googles wishes
linking to a project that has it on is fine though as hes distibuting it :P
 
Hey Guys,

When I ported over the Galaxy firmware I lost the voice search (I really like it, helpful to search while moving and not wanting to type). I then installed it on the Behold with the Galaxy firmware and it works. Just removed the Search Widget and then make the search widget again and it will show up on the widget. Thanks!

 
Fancy stuff... but we all know what is the most important feature in an Android phone - bloody support and updates )

Oh, but the keyboard accessory is a killer! Awesome!
