Google Sky Map

I don't get what to do with this Google Sky Map, is there a point to it, or is it just for fun?

Its the best kind of app, for fun! But its also accurate, so makes it educational too.

Hmm, this poses the ultimate question, can something be both fun and educational..?

just point it upwards, and it shows you the stars, etc that are where you are pointing to!

I love this app, I love looking at the stars, but I could never figure out any of the constellations in the sky, now I know all the ones visible in my area right now , goes great with my telescope to try and find the planets!
