Help Google sync contact issues!!

Had to hard reset my phone last night and since then, my Google contacts are having issues syncing!

In Setting, accounts and sync, everything syncs except contacts and at the bottom of the page, it says:

"Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

I have turned off the phone and turned it back on but to no avail!

Cannot remove this account as it is associated with the phone and only a hard reset will allow me to remove it.

Clutching at straws but have you tried a soft reset?? or turning the phone off and removing the battery for 60 seconds.

Also did you put your contacts back on the phone from a back up or have you just tried to syn them straight from google?

Also might be worth clearing the Data in the contacts storage and try syncing again.

Did a soft reset and no joy.

Yes, did a restore backup with mybackup pro.

Yes, did a restore backup with mybackup pro.

I have seen posts that say if you restore the contacts from a back up it can cause sync problems.

you may have to do another hard reset but this time dont import the contacts from the back up.
