Help Google talk and skype mobile always running

Both listed under applications->running services as always running. I dont need/use either so how do I get rid of them?

bump...want to nuke skype...draining battery by always running.

According to SystemPanel on my phone, Skype, in the past 44 hours, has used 4 seconds of CPU time for an average consumption of 0.0%.

I don't think it's draining your battery.
