Google Talk issues on Droid Eris

Anyone else having issues with Google Talk on the Droid Eris? I can open the application, however my friends list is gone and I can't receive or send any messages. I went into the application manager and cleared the app data, and also power cycled the phone. Any other suggestions? I doesn't appear i can delete and re-download.

I'm having this same problem. I can't find an answer ANYWHERE. Verizon has been useless in their support. I've looked at Google Talk/chat forums. There is absolutely nothing out there that addresses this issue. What's worse is that I noticed that this was the problem on my phone first and now I can't sign on to any client anywhere... including my google talk on my PC and any google chat client in gmail, igoogle, etc.

If it helps at all my Vodafone UK magic Google talk works fine
