Help Google talk video chat?

I'm having trouble getting video chat to work on the stratosphere. It doesn't seem to recognize as being video chat capable. The anyone get this to work?

I asked the same question in the original thread for the Stratosphere 5 days ago and the response I got mostly was that no one used video chat! But I also was unable to get it to work. Same for Tango.

Thanks for the info. I this is a real bummer. I bet we could fix with root but we shouldn't have to do that. I was able to get vtok working but it only allows me to start a voice chat not answer one

vtok worked for me as well, but made the phone buggy so I removed it. This is surprising as other Samsung phones work with video chat.

I don't know why people had issues. Before I rooted my phone I was able to get both Tango and the Google Talk app to work. I used both to video chat with my daughter. She used her iPod and I used my Strat - worked flawlessly.

If I could I would provide some sort of help via a step by step guide or something but honestly, it shouldn't be necessary as I just used the default app (Google Talk) then downloaded Tango and used that.
