I have a EVO and I am getting Could not connect to server when trying to log into Google talk. If this a common problem that people have had?
 
Welcome to the Android Forums! I've not heard about issues connecting to GTALK before though it's possible that the issue is phone-specific. I'll move your post to the EVO forum where somebody should be able to assist you.
 
I have a problem with my EVO 4G connecting to GTalk though it seems narrowed to a problem connecting if 4G is turned on (even if 4G isn't shown as in use )

Has anyone been able to permanently resolve this?
