I'm pulling the Google Talk APK from the Photon 4G image....

Going to see if it works on the Triumph. Wish me luck.

Lol first post... well I'm all over the internet as LiveHiFi... if you don't trust me. I'm biggest on SDX-Developers... (damn intercept. lol).

I'm trying to use libtalk_jni.so from another Talk.apk hack... Probably won't work. FYI for those to follow, I think you need minimum of gingerbread (2.3) for any Google Video Chat... :<

Looks like we would need a 2.3.4 version of GoogleServicesFramework.apk. FYI this is dangerous I think... nobody go flashing it. Maybe the Huawei Ascend x6 variant of that will work? Anyone with insight please post. Maybe we can install those on top of Froyo? Otherwise, I'll wait for CM7. :> :>

Yeah, the problem is with the 2.3.4 framework apk (from my EDIT).

I have the file, but I am unsure whether it would cause problems to toy with it.

Ideas? Thoughts? Concerns? I want to try it... but no bricking tyvm. I also can wait for CM7.

Same here. In the limited amount of googling I've done on the subject, everyone seems angry that it's not possible on 2.2.

I'll just wait until CM7 is released. It's not like I'd use the video chat. I'd probably test it once with a friend and never try it again.
