Google Voice Actions-> Listen to music on phone?

Has anyone been able to play music from your phone on the music player using Google Voice Actions?

I find it alwasy wants to find streaming music and does not search my music that is onboard.

You mean like while on a phone call a-la hold music type thing, or just to show someone on the other end "Hey listen to this!"

I know my old Nokia E71 could do that. My E71 also had a working GPS too

Are you talking about how in some TV commercials the user will say something like "Play The Beatles" and the media player will open up and start playing Beatles songs? I'm not sure if the Captivate can do that...if it can, I haven't figured out how yet.

With 2.2 and Voice Actions, you are supposed to be able to say "Play The Beatles".

But what I find is it only will find it via a streaming site, and will not play any music that way that is installed on the phone.

I have since found another post that in fact indcates GVA will not work the way I am asking.

Seems ridiculous. First place it should look is locally.

But maybe some day...
