Google Voice (In Canada).

Does anyone have this working?

Is there a way to get someone in the states to set it up for you or something?

I find it very silly that certain apps would be restricted in canada but work fine in US.

Specifically Pandora and Voice.

No, no one can set it up for you. I wish :D.

It's easy to set up Google Voice from what I've read, but you need a US number. They are easy to get, but the problem is, you have to pay for it, which completely defeats the purpose for me. So if you're willing to pay for a US number, there are several guides online on how to set it up.

I live in Canada and have Google Voice set up. I first chose an American city where my relatives live. Then when I was traveling in the US with my Pre Paid American cell phone I set up the account. Google looks at your server while you set up your account to see if you are located in the US. I cannot remember the exact steps involved but I used my Pre Paid American cell phone as a contact number. Now that I have a valid US Google phone number my American relatives call a local number and my computer picks up the call. With my computer I can call them without a fee. As for the Andoid app. it works fine but I cannot add my Canadian Cell number. I have to be in my Wifi area to make and recieve calls with the app.

I hope this is what you're looking for. I hope this will help you.
