Anytime I have used google voice, I have a big problem turning it off. Example; I used it yesterday for Driving Mode. Having prior experience with this app, after I got home, I went into the Menu>Settings>Applications>Running Services and turned it off. It was on, in that menu in 3 places. I turned them all off. Today it was on again as I found out at 5am when it read the time out loud with my alarm. I went in and shut it off again - in 3 places. Just now as I am writing this, I looked in the menu to make sure I wrote the correct steps when describing this, and guess what....it's on again WTF?!
So, seeing that this is an ongoing thing with this, and several other apps (ie; Maps, ATT Hotspot, ATT Navigator....), what can be done to resolve these problems? Is rooting the answer? Will that give me control over these apps? Or better yet, the ability to delete them. P.S., I no longer care about voiding the warranty, the decreased aggravation will be well worth it I'm sure.
