I've been using Google Voice on my iPhone for a long time with no issues. However Google Voice on the Android works very differently.
On the iPhone I initiate dialing in Google Voice and then immediately I get a callback. The caller id indicates a local number, I pickup and continue the call.
Now, when I initiate a call it is seamless like I dialed it on the keypad itself. The caller id shows the actual international # which freaked me out a bit at first because I thought I was making an international call directly on Verizon for whatever ridiculous amount it costs...YIKES!
I did check my Google Voice history afterwards and verified that the call was charged by Google Voice.
Has anyone been charged by Verizon for making calls using Google Voice? Since it is seamless with Android is there any way the call could go directly through the phone instead of Google Voice?
I don't want my bill for a call to be a few hundred dollars instead of a few dollars LOL!
