Help Google voice search bug

Nexus808

Newbie
Recently noticed that when I voice search for a business (ex. call Walmart) Google search just brings up a random (very random) local contact. Clearing data in the Google search app does fix the issue but only for a short while. I've also uninstalled the latest update and re-installed it which also only fixes temporarily. I have the gsm version running stock 4.1.2 unrooted. This video is not mine but he is experiencing basically the same thing except his is showing random numbers not even phone numbers. He does have a thread on another site and it appears to be happening to some others running stock and various roms also.

Weird Results From Jelly Bean Voice Search - YouTube

I have noticed weird results as well.
Especially when trying to voice dial a contact.
For example I could say "Call Joe Miller" and while it displays it perfectly on the screen it will dial a completely different contact... Very annoying!

I only have problems searching for businesses, it seems to do fine with local contacts as long as it understands me. Does clearing Google search data temporarily fix the problem for you also? I also have a Nexus 7 which seems to be working fine with businesses and local contacts even though it can't actually call. I agree this is very annoying and I hope there is an update soon.
