Help Google Voice voice mail?

Can I get Google Voice's voicemail to work on the Optimus via Virgin Mobile? I used it on T-Mobile, but I've just switched over to VM, which is not offered as an option on Google's setup page. I never used the GV number for calls, I just like the voicemail transcription.

I haven't used the Google Voice app for that, but Vlingo does have Safe Reader as part of its app that reads mail and text messages aloud.

Mine works, here's how but I'm not sure why. My phone number was originally a Sprint number. I got it ported to my Virgin phone. Google Voice does work but it still thinks I'm Sprint. So my guess would be to tell Google that you're on a Sprint network. Let us know if it works.
