Google Voice weirdness

My wife and I both use Voice for our SMS since we get free incoming and sending through Voice is free. The weird thing is when I get a message it shows up instantly and my wife's takes a few minutes. I know that the shortest refresh rate is 5 min but mine always come right away. We've experimented many different times and get the same result. I checked all the settings and they are the same. Any ideas?

do you have it coming through your email? and she is not?

I just went and checked all the settings on the pc and double checked on the phones. All the same. It takes about 5 sec for me and about 6 min for her. Just can't figure it out. Maybe it's because her end button is higher.
We just use it this way because we get free incoming sms.
