sso im trying to understand this. is it only FREE if you have the family plan (5 numbers for free)?

i have the regular nationwide 450 mins plan and want to verify even if i use gvoice it will still charge as using my minutes

GV offers free texts, sms only, not mms, and does not give free minutes. only if you use it on your computer, they have an app. but if you use your phone for calls it will use minutes

Google Voice has nothing whatsoever to do with your cellphone plan. You could use it just with landlines, if you want to.

It acts as a relay. If you have your Droid as one of the phones associated with GV, then you will be using your minutes when you make or receive calls through your GV number, just as you would with any other cell call.
