Help Google's GPS

This is more "How did I do that?", versus "How do I...?":

In using the GPS, I somehow managed to switch the view from one that follows behind the arrow/marker and shifts the map, to one that slides the map (while always facing it north), and changes the direction the arrow faces. How did I manage to toggle away from the "3D" perspective on my Droid?

Mine switched once and I exited navigation and restarted it and it was correct.

Could it be you tapped on the compass arrow (red/white needle) in the top left hand corner?
