GoSMS / Stock SMS issue on Droid X

I am having an issue with my absolute favorite SMS app (GoSMS) and I think the stock SMS app has something to do with it. Anytime I try to send a text using GoSMS, the sending icon just blinks and is stuck in a "pending" send status. If i try to send a text using the stock SMS, the text works fine. I have already tried the following:
- uninstall / reinstall GoSMS
- Cleared data and defaults on stock app
- pulled battery

Please help as I cannot seem to get the devs of GoSMS to respond. Ugh, I really do not want to go to Handcent.

I know some issues with non-stock messaging apps have to do with a +1 in front of the number of the recipient. I am also using GoSMS and it is awesome. I hope you find your solution soon.
