Got $100 back from Best Buy

I bought my Thunderbolt on launch day from Best Buy for $249. Then last night I got an email from Verizon promoting the phone for $149. So this morning I walked into Best Buy, showed them the email on my phone and received $100 back immediately because they offer price matching.
Has anyone else done this? I'm surprised that I had not seen any other threads about this, unless I missed it in my quick scan.
 
Strange. Best Buy told me that they wouldn't match my Verizon price of $199 (corp discount) so I canceled my pre-order and got my $50 back.
 
If it's been less than a week since purchase do you think VZW will credit my account the 60 or so dollars??

edit: just realized it's been less than a week for everyone, haha
 
Where is this promotion for $149? I don't see it on Verizon's website or when I go through the upgrade process online. It is showing $199 with my NE2.
 
I just got the promotion in an email from Verizon last night. In addition to the thunderbolt for $149, it has the LG Vl600 Modem, the Samsung SCH-LC11 coming soon and the Zoom.
I just showed the email to best buy and they didn't question me or even hesitate, they just promptly refunded me $100 (plus tax so actually a little over $100)
 
This has to be a corporate discount type thing.

I got the TB with a 1 year contract for $229. I had originally bought it in store for $319, but Verizon stores don't match their own online prices so I had to return and order online.
 
I got $96 back from Verizon. Total, I spent $229 for a one year contract. I thought I loved the phone when I originally bought it for $319 on a one year deal, but now I cannot believe how I got such a great phone from so cheap! Needless to say I was a happy guy on Sunday as the guy literally handed me back $96 because they didn't apply my corporate rate.
 
no, I do not have a corporate rate. I work for myself so there is no corporation that I belong to. Below is a screen shot of the email.

Thats a pretty cool discount. I wish I got that email.
Is there a direct link to the thunderbolt with the 149.99 price you can post?

Wish they would have done this for me... I had to return mine and order online. For some reason my corporate discount wasn't showing up at the store.

But yeah $229 for a 1 year contract is sweet.
 
When I click the link for thunderbolt in the email it just takes me to the Verizon wireless homepage. Maybe the email was a mistake and I was not supposed to get it, not sure. But still a little shocked that no one else has received this. If so I would expect to see more talk about it, and a lot of pissed off people that paid more just last week.
 
I'm going to call VZW and ask them about this. It doesn't really seem fair to the people who shelled out much more on launch day or days after to then have to see this less than a week later.
