one quick question for 3rd gear :
is the camera on the back , protrudes from the battery cover surface? i am referring to the issue with HTC HD2 , where the camera stands 2-3mms out of the battery door and for that reason , it won't lie flat on , say your desk. is that the case here as well?
cheers

Right, it does protrude just about 1mm at the tops. harsaphes and I have been chatting about his volume issue and he had mentioned that due to the fact that the phone lays flat on a cloth you actually lose the sound due to the speaker that's at the top right. If the phone is on a hard flat surface, due to the camera protruding, you can actually hear the ringer fine.

The protruding is actually NOT the actual camera, but simply the cover on the back of the phone.

Im answering two questions for you guys and i have one...It has five screens..
Yes, there is an "x" to close the browser and there is a star for bookmarking.
Video says its an Mp4, but how do you know if its a 720p?

if the video captured is 16x9, it is most likely 720p, the droid is 4x3 @ 480p, you could also see about taking it off the phone and opening in QT if it will play it, and check the movie properties...it will show you what the framesize is

We did this a few days back. The properties spit it out at 720. Check the attached image.

Sorry my fault, I should've indicated this is actual real apple to apples type benchmark app. It's much different to the one you did earlier as they were running different resolutions and couldn't take advantage of the hardware in this thang. This app will be much quicker and just test a few things and spit out a bunch of numbers not tied to anything but the hardware and os.

Don't ask me what any of these numbers mean, lol.

Any keyboard lag at all? Do you EVER see the keyboard lag?

So far a tiny bit if I really start typing fast. I can get a few letters out when I'm rolling. I'm out right now posting with it now. One thing I like is the keyboard is pretty precise.

Have you checked to see if apps are still stored only to the internal memory and that 2.1 hasn't added apps2sd? Also, if you have a bluetooth headset can you now initiate voice dialing directly through the headset without touching the phone? And how good does voice-to-text work, I've read that voice-to-text works on any text input box.

which sounds ok to me. i have a feeling xda is going to speed the phone up even more once the chef's can dig into it

does the Amazon MP3 app store come loaded onto the phone?

edit:nevermind, looks like it does... I saw the icon listed on the 10 min. video that someone posted

I have not confirmed with applications are stored on the phone. As soon as i get home i will check. Just so you know this entire powas done on the voice to text, golf fitting at barnes and noble. No edits were made.

So now I am typing. Looks like a few errors likethe error that was in the 2nd to last sentence wherein should have said, "sitting in a Barnes and noble. Also not speaking too loud

Is there a way to check if it has a graphics card/ dedicated GPU. On the Tmonews Forum they say it doesn't but i've heard other places that it does.
