I just rooted mine this last week using the htc evo design 4g all carriers root guide a few posts down. I've successfully rooted, added cwm and flashed a custom Rom using that guide.

Rooting isn't that hard, and don't see why there is so many threads about this. It is simple as can be, unlock via htc unlock, install cwm, flash superuser zip. It can be done in under 10mins. Why there is so many issues is beyond me and kind of baffles me when I believe there is 2 or so guides here. Along with me saying the above over and over.

Yea I know I made a tool for the lazy's but cookie never let me know if it worked. So I need to check it in a bit.

Cookie been busy moping about the Nebraska loss last night. Also cookie trying to find out why a .exe is not running on his system. On a serious note I'll run my VM in a bit and look at the script and test it.....
