Just had my JB update and thought I would share my initial findings with you.
By way of background, I bought my Note about 15 months ago with GB on it and got upgraded to ICS last July. I've never done a reset as I didn't feel the need, everything worked and I had reasonable battery life. However, in anticipation of JB I did a complete wipe and reset 2 weeks ago just to see what happened
. That went well although I noticed that there were subtle differences to certain menus and how some things worked. So I guess what I've read elsewhere about it not being a complete upgrade until it has been reset is along the right lines 
.
Anyway, before I applied the JB update tonight, I removed my SD card and did another wipe/reset then updated via Kies rather than OTA. This went well and I must say I am pleased with the result. Obviously too early to comment on battery etc (I haven't been through and deleted or disabled unnecessary apps yet neither have I downloaded my other apps). I doubt I'll do a reset unless things give me grief!
First thoughts: It all runs very smoothly and swipes between screens quickly. All the apps I've tried so far load quickly and seem to work okay. I like some of the new features and looking forward to having a play around with settings later. One major thing I have noticed is the quality of sound I'm getting from the inbuilt music player is superb!!! It did get a little warm but I was giving it a hard time trying everything out.
I'll see how it goes over the next few days and let you know. I've loved my Note since I bought it and that hasn't changed yet.
