Got my NFC tags!

Not really, I have one of mine stuck to a little stand on my bedside table, so it is in contact all night with the tag, but it doesn't re-read the tag over and over - once it does it's thing, it's done. The one on my bike only glitches when I hit a bump or the phone is allowed to momentarily lose intimate contact with the tag, then re-acquires it.

I would think inside a case it would be tight to the phone and work as you wish. When I get my next batch I'll give it a try. Being jostled in a bookbag might be an issue, but I'm betting it would work.

i am setting mine up for work and have a question. when i tap the tag i want it to turn on pandora and turn off the ringer...so my question is this. at the end of the day can i tap the tag again to turn off pandora and turn on the ringer or will i have to do that manually?

Beats me, I keep trying to write a tag like you want. I can get the ringer volume to switch on and off, and Pandora will turn on when the volume goes to 0, and I get a notification that NFC is closing Pandora when it turns the ringer back on - but Pandora doesn't close - it just keeps playing.

So, I don't know...Sorry:(

I don't know, like what can you do other than toggle settings?

Well when I go on a road trip, I have 11 different settings to change/open/close/adjust to put the phone into a mode I like for traveling. It takes about 15 seconds for a tag to do it, or 3-4 minutes for me to do it manually.

Coming home is a similar situation.

Or going on a training ride on my bicycle.

Same with going to bed.

I'd say toggling settings is pretty darn good! Since I'm with Verizon I can't try Google Wallet, but would love to use NFC for that as well.

It's not limited to what a tag can do, it's all the possibilities that NFC brings to the table - who knows what is to come: maybe secure ID, boarding passes, I don't know - but I'm enjoying it so far.

Yeah they seem pretty cool. I'm going to go order some now.
