got my wisdom teeth out yesterday morning...

Be careful keeping it dry! You could get what they call a "dry socket" where the wound heals open, almost with the bone exposed. Not fun, from what I understand. Not too much they can do to fix it, but let it run it's course.

yea i thought about that too, but i think that happens when the clotting blood is actually sucked out of the empty cavity. and that usually happens on before the 3rd or 4th day. the past couple days have been a breeze, it gets better every day now. although i think im starting to become a little addicted to the pain meds even though i havent taken much at all. still worries me though..

I had nose surgery about a month ago. Had polyps removed from both nostrils, both turbinates reduced (the turbinate is the lining in the nose) and my septum fixed (broke it once or twice when I was younger, not a hole from coke use!) It bled the next day and night, but pretty much stopped after that. Here's how I looked a little after getting home from the hospital (it was outpatient surgery, went in in the morning, had the surgery with full general anesthesia, then went home after I recovered enough to walk and move on my own):
