For any that don't (and are interested) Netflix now supports streaming on Android. Unfortunately Netflix has gone the route of only allowing the app on hand sets it has specifically tested. However I found the .apk online and installed, updated, and low and behold I can now stream. All this even though officially Netflix doesn't support the Desire.
I'm on an Alltel desire with Froyo, unrooted, no mods ... so this should work for everyone.
I suppose this could also have gone in tips and tricks.
