I've noticed none of the problems that have been stated..no dead pixels, no light bleed, just a downright awesome tablet. I toyed with the idea of getting this thing rooted, just like I thought about getting my SII rooted as well. Thus far it just that..an idea, my last phone an HTC EVO, I had rooted..big mistake, the "friend" who I gave my phone to to root, screwed it,(I would use stronger language..but.) so bad, I had a friend who worked at Sprint give it to one of her coworkers to fix. Never was right after the attempted rooting, so I kinda shy away from rooting anything..unless I really need my TF300 rooted, I'm gonna keep it stock, just as I'm keeping my SII stock, I haven't noticed any problems with my SII..yet, and I may never experience any issues with either one. That said, if I ever feel the need, I will get with someone I absolutely trust to do the rooting, if I tried I would screw it up worse than what my friend did with my EVO.
After 3 weeks of steady use..I must say that I do like my TF300 more and more every day. This is a direct replacement for my ACER Aspire One net book I had which I gave to our adopted daughter. This is by far one of the lightest, tablets I've handled, m Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" feels heavier by comparison. Now with the added multi function docking station adds a couple more ounces to the over all weight. The display on my TF300 is spectacular, brilliant colors, I'm anxious to sit down and watch a movie on this..hmmm..I might just check out what Direct TV has that I can watch on this.
