Help GPS always on?

What is the benefit of turning GPS off when not in use? I mean, is it actually doing anything if you arent in an app thats using it? Id rather not have to tuen it on everytime I want to use the Nav, so itd just be easier to have it set to on all the time.

Also, what is the assisted GPS option. Should I always have that on?

No real benefit to turning it off. It's only using power when an app uses it.

If you have a rogue app that's using it too much, that might be a problem, but you'd see the GPS icon come on when it was doing it, so you'd know.

I leave all 3 boxes checked.
