Root GPS Broken on Rubix 1.9.5

Hi Everyone!

I am sending out a plea for help in getting my phone to recognize my location again with it's GPS on Google Maps, Foursquare, Yelp, ...hell, anything.

I am on Rubix 1.9.5 with the Watermark'd theme.

The GPS was working just fine. Until I started up iHeart Radio, and looked up local stations, and it couldn't find any, because it didn't know my location. So I exited out of iHeart, and went into Google Maps to see if it found me. It didn't. So I tried hitting back, home, power buttons...nothing responded. So I did a battery pull.

After this, no GPS whatsoever. Did I break my GPS chip?

(I have tried restoring back to Nandroid's of stock 2.3.340 Deodexed, and clearing cache, clearing data, etc.)

Please give any feedback you can think of, before I have to resort to .sbf'ing and returning my phone to Verizon?

Thank you!!

I'd toss the whole ROM, after backing up everything except the rogue widgets and apps (those I'd just start from scratch in the new ROM).

Live battery pulls get mixed reviews from experts on both sides of that particular issue. I'm not positive that caused your problems, but it could have if it was done before the unit was completely booted up, for example.

after sbf'ing last night, and resetting my phone back to Rubix, and Watermark'd theme to everything the way I had it...

Success!! My GPS is working again...weird, but I'm happy I don't have to take my phone back.
