Help GPS causing restarts

Hey all,

This issue just came up the other day, I thought it was because of the google maps update, but it seems to be the actual gps function.

Anytime gps is enabled and I use an app that engages the gps, like google maps or yelp, the phone quickly restarts. The app never gets to load fully before a restart happens. If the gps is off, the app runs fine.

I am running the fresh hero rom 2.3.3, on android 2.1.

I have never had any issues before, this problem just came up on monday.

Any ideas?

I flashed the cyanogen mod 6 running froyo. Also, for other gps problems i recommend GPS status from the market, then go to menu->settings->GPS and Sensors->manage A_GPS state, then reset it and download new A-GPS XTRA data, it will prompt you.

My GPS locks to my location within seconds, and no more restarts.
