When I was on the official 2.1 ROM, I used this procedure to change my gps settings:
From the dialer, enter *#1472365# (this is diagnostic code for the phone)
Select Setup>Position Mode>Starting Mode
Change the option from "Hot Start" to "Cold Start"
Now that I am on the official 2.2 ROM, the dialer code does not work. I am not sure if me upgrading to 2.2 set the option back from Cold Start to Hot Start or if that option even applies to 2.2.
I would like to set it back to how it was before I changed it in 2.1 (ie, set it to Hot Start). My understanding (and from my tests) is that you cannot get a GPS lock when you have it set to Cold Start.
