GPS Icon Missing.

After updating to 2.3.5 gps icon didnt no apear after on. help.

Did you open Maps or a similar app that makes use of the GPS receiver?

nope, when i was on 2.3.3 the gps icon show when i on it.

Have you activated GPS?...

Settings > Location and security > Use GPS satellites > tick

yes i have tick it. is it that 2.3.5 does not show gps icon?
can some 1 with 2.3.5 confirm this?

im on 2.3.5. and whenever i open an app that uses my GPS receiver, i get the usual GPS icon that i always used to see. which apps are u using, and not seeing the icon?

when i am on 2.3.3, when i on my gps without running any apps the gps icon is in the status bar. now its not there when i tick on.

i dont think that should happen, and if it did, it was probably a bug on ur phone and u should be happy that its gone coz when the symbol is on, that means gps is active, draining battery. so now, like it should, its always turned on, but activated only when a location based app such as foursquare is running. its not a bug, its how it should be ;D

when you tick it ON, how you going to know the gps is on when the icon is not there?

you mean its suppose to be ON all the time and it wont drain the bettery?
still confuse!

if its ticked ON, that means its on! GPS being ON kinda means its just 'ready', not activated.. the icon will show only when the GPS receiver is activated, by a location based app. so yes, u can leave it on all the time, it wont drain battery. battery is only consumed when an app activates the GPS receiver (i.e. when u see the icon)
