After a very long saga I have finally had my Desire returned from Carphone Warehouse for the stuck in "CAR MODE" fault.
It has been replaced with a "new" phone which has Froyo on it.
Whenever I use a GPS application the GPS symbol comes on and stays on. I seem to recall on my 2.1 phone that it would only come on periodically, implying that the GPS was power saving. Is there a setting somewhere?
