Help GPS Issue

I've never used the Navigation app until now and for the past 2 minutes my phone has said 'Search for GPS...' I have full network bars, right now connected to WiFi (can that be why it's not working?).... it shows the turn by turn directions for isn't coming up as the voice turn by turn directions.. the map updates with the route but it still says Searching for GPS... anyone else experience this? Any solutions?

Update: After about 3 minutes it picked up the GPS... does it always take this long for people?

if that was the first time u used it, then yeah.. its normal. after it gets a lock for the first time, it usually is much faster. it takes me less than 10 seconds to get a lock outdoors, and even indoors it gets a reasonably accurate position in around 10-20 seconds
