Help GPS issue

jknolls

Newbie
I'm having trouble with GPS/navigation with my incredible 2. I bought and extended battery for my phone and the backdoor wasn't making good contact with the metal contacts on the back of the phone so I was trying to pry them upwards and in the process broke of of the metal contacts. Now I'm not able to use the gps/navigation at all (which genius came up with this design??). Is there anyway to fix this? I tried putting aluminum foil in its place (lol, i thought it was worth a try) but no luck. Would I or HTC be able to fix this?

The metal contacts work just fine with the standard battery door. There are many accounts of poor GPS performance with aftermarket doors.

Next time I would post here prior to making physical modifications to your phone. I am sure it is fixable, but at what cost, I don't know.

I don't think this would be fixable by you. Contact HTC and see what it would cost for them to fix this.

try your gps with the regular battery cover. Extended battery covers suck. The only one you should buy is the one made by htc and not third parties.
