Samsung working on a new FAST Rom - Release in November ? - xda-developers
and possibly related: xda-developers - View Single Post - Leaked Official Froyo for the I9000 is out NOW!

Sigh - are they even going to make any kind of statement about what has happened?
Their disregard for their customers is astonishing.
It is when it has already been covered.I know the NEWS is old, but the fact Samsung has finally bothered to officially release a press release (yesterday), is hardly old news :-D
It is when it has already been covered.
As usual Samsung don't give anything away... simply sticking with the very basic apology and a revised date... nothing else.
I also said it has been delayed until the end of November and if you read the heading in the Facebook link I posted it clearly says:-Yes, and then you stated:
We now have a lot more information (such as the new version of Kies etc) via an official press release.
Anyway I'm not arguing, I hadn't seen the press release mentioned on here (and I don't count Facebook or Twitter as official for anything), so I thought I'd post it. No offence meant!!
I also said it has been delayed until the end of November
and if you read the heading in the Facebook link I posted it clearly says:-
"Hi everyone, sorry for not getting this to you sooner. The Android 2.2 software is being fully tested with UK operators and the upgrade will be available in the UK from early November. We expect all operator versions of the software to be fully tested and downloadable by the end of November. Let us know if you have any questions. Many thanks, Samsung"
Anyway, lets all work towards a common goal.

If it was as simple as a software fix dont you think it would have been fixed by now.
I really believe they cannot fix it. With so many people complaining all kver the internet samsung surely would have patched it as a priority.
Why wait for froyo?
I think they are hoping people just accept it as we are tied into contracts.
I would love to be proved wrong.
